My first newborn shoot outside of the studio! 

This adorable little guy was only ten days old and super interested in everything going on around him. The poor guy just couldn't sleep without being moved or undressed, but with enough patience we got what we needed and he got to go to sleep! Just look at the eyes on him and tell me how anyone could not fall in love?

One more post from August and then I get to move into September! 

These two are sooooo photogenic! Looking through the shots when I got home I could barely find any shots I didn't like. There were so many good ones I had a hard time picking my favourites! Plus, they were so willing to let me experiment they were willing to climb things and get down in the flowers and wherever I asked them to, so I want to thank them for being such great sports!

Here is what I managed to come up with as the best of the bunch!

(Check out the duck!! We ran into a family who kept two of them as pets and they graciously allowed us to take a few pictures with them.. Coolest prop ever? I think so.)

Three more lovely ladies who I've known for a long time, and another shoot that was done way back in August before the girls left for school.

These ladies have a great friendship so photographing them was super easy. All I had to do was tell them where I wanted them and they took care of the rest! These beautiful girls made my job so much fun and I love them for it! So here we are, some of my favourite shots from their shoot.

I'm starting from way back in August. These girls are amazing!I've known them all for years and they are pretty much the best friends a girl could ask for! They graciously agreed to model for me before heading out of town on their quest for higher education :-)

Hello people of the internet!

A quick intro as to who I am:

My name is Amanda Mara, I'm 19 years old and after years of being jealous of all the people who knew exactly what they wanted to be when they grew up, I have finally found my passion. I love photography. I love being behind a camera, capturing moments that would otherwise pass by and disappear in the stream of time. I love finding the beauty that is hidden in everyone and everything and bringing it out, making it shine and showing the world the way I see things. Photography is art. Photography is passion. It's beauty, emotion and knowledge all packed into a few pixels in a camera. To be able to capture that is my goal and my life.
This blog will function as a documentation of my work and with any luck I'll be updating it regularly with more and more photos! 

Since I've learned from the best that a post isn't nearly as fun without a picture I'll start off with some of my all time favourite shots.
